Batmobile lança split e cogita álbum novo
Batmobile lança split e cogita álbum novoBatmobile e Peter Pan Speedrock estão preparando o split “Crosscontamination” que será mundialmente lançado em novembro, pelo selo People Like You. O disco contará com dez faixas, cinco de cada banda holandesa, sendo um grupo tocando músicas do outro. O álbum será lançado durante o Eindhoven Speedfest, no dia 29 de novembro.
O Peter Pan Speedrock, que estava trabalhando em músicas como “Magic World Called Love”, “100 Pounds Of Trouble” e “Mad at You”, acabou optando pelas versões de “Dynamite”, “Transsylvanian Express”, “Mission Impossible”, “Shoot Shoot” e “Dead (I Want Them When They Are Dead)”. O Batmobile, por sua vez, está ensaiando as músicas “Killerspeed”, “Hellalujah”, “Go Satan Go”, “Straight Back to Homoneville” e “Big Toy”, do PPS.
Aproveitando a volta ao estúdio para produção deste projeto, o Batmobile já cogita um novo disco de inéditas, o primeiro desde Welcome To Planet Cheese (1997). Recentemente, o trio lançou The Clarendon Ballroom Blitz, live at the KlubFoot 1986, gravado ao vivo no KlubFoot, berço do psychobilly londrino e a casa mais cultuada pelos psychobillies em todo o mundo. Em fórun destinado ao gênero, Jeroen Hammer, guitarrista e vocalista do Batmobile, disse que a banda tem material suficiente para um disco completo e que ainda é divertido gravar com seu irmão Eric (baixo) e o baterista Johnny Z. “Talvez esse seja nosso próximo projeto”, completa.
